Dear Clients/Patients of Rising Heart Healing, LLC I would like to let you know what I am doing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. I have been paying careful attention to the evolving information regarding this outbreak; every day is a progression of the crisis we are in.
Massage, Hands on Healing and Bodywork – At this time, “social distancing” has been mandated by our governor of Oregon as we are in a state of emergency. Currently has been stated only Medical Massage is allowed, which is what I offer to my patients, although I am currently choosing to quarantine at home with my family until I hear that it is safe to resume treating patients/clients.
This was a grueling decision for me in so many ways, as all other health practitioners whom I know personally. Even though I had been, and could continue sanitizing everything carefully, and scrubbing my hands and arms without touching walls, doorknobs, etc, with this virus being so mysterious in the incubation period, I can’t guarantee that it wouldn’t sneak into my treatment room.
I would feel terrible if I ended up being part of the problem, not the solution. For these reasons, I no longer feel it makes sense to I will take appointments. I am however, projecting ahead and taking a waiting list for setting appointments, so please continue to call to chat, text or email me to get you on my waiting list/in my appointment book for the upcoming future. Let’s pray, think and behave in positive ways, so we’ll get through this together in a short amount of time!
Weddings, Ceremonies, Special Events and all End of Life Services – We continue providing Officant services for all that we offer, as long as we maintain our safe distances, as well as Remote Video Cam into the ceremony site. We will wear gloves when touching the pen and legal documents, as well as the ceremony booklet which we will leave with you as a momento. My main concern is to keep everyone healthy, especially my older patients/clients, and my son and roommate, and everyone.
When I resume taking Massage, Healing and Bodywork one on one appointments for patients/client, I will continue with my daily sanitization practices, which has always been washing hands before and after clients/patients, as well as changing sheets and sanitizing surfaces if needed, along with a daily clean, now with a high concentrate of hydrogen peroxide mix, which states it kills this virus approved by the CDC.
I will also continue participating in wiping down the doorknobs in the common bathroom facilities, and have provided a sanitizer spray approved by the CDC in the bathrooms as well. I will continue sanitizing the room, doorknobs, etc. after every appointment. When I am near your head, I will refrain from talking to reduce any transfer of germs. Each day, before I start, I will do my usual showering/cleaning and I ask that you do the same before your appointments.
I will ask that you take your temperature before you come, to make sure you do not have a fever, and if you do, let’s go ahead and reschedule. If I feel at all a higher level in my temperature, or if my son is sick with a fever, I will let you know and postpone our session.
Please also wash you hands upon arriving and before leaving the clinic space. And please, do not come in if you or a family member have any symptoms plus a waiting period of two weeks after recovery.
I want to let you all know, that I do have a elementary age child at home, my son. He has been healthy and well and at home, as school since last Friday March 13, 2020. All schools have been cancelled, and he has not been exposed to anyone, as I’ve been keeping him home and away from others.
I appreciate you and your understanding of the need to increase our awareness and practices of good hygiene and the importance of all of us to do our part during this time.
I miss seeing all of you massage folks, and am looking forward to resuming once the virus alarm has cleared. I know we all need it now, but by then we are all going to need massage and healing for sure!
